The application process for the 2017-2018 academic year is now open.
Applicants must have completed a first degree in law in order to be eligible to enroll in the International LL.M. program. Students who are in their final year of their first degree in law are encouraged to apply. Their acceptance will be conditional providing they complete their first degree studies by July 2017 in good standing.
Use Tel Aviv University International's Application System to submit the following:
- CV or resume
- Law degree transcript(s) & diploma(s)
Transcripts must show all courses and grades obtained, and should be submitted with the corresponding diploma. Please provide a letter from your law school indicating your individual rank in your class, if available.
Transcripts may have to be officially translated at the applicant's expense to be reviewed by TAU Registrar's Office.
- Personal Statement (essay)
Your personal statement should be no more than 500 words and should describe your background, your academic or professional interests and goals, and your motivation to study in the International LL.M program.
- Two letters of recommendation
Recommendation letters should be written by law professors or legal employment supervisors.
- TOEFL or IELTS score
An English-language proficiency exam must be taken before July 1, 2017, and official scores must be sent directly to the TAU International office by the testing agency. TAU International's ETS code is 7704. TOEFL test minimum scores: written 582, computer-based 223, or internet-based 89. The minimum overall bandwidth score for the IELTS test is 7.
Native English speakers or degrees achieved in English speaking Universities or Institutes are required to provide proof of proficiency - please inquire with the Admissions Director. The TAU International online application section on language proficiency refers to English and Hebrew. Please note that LL.M. students do not need Hebrew skills for the program.

Make sure to complete the program-related questions on the application portal.
- Law school ranking
If possible, please ask your law school to provide a letter indicating your individual ranking in your class.
- $100 application fee
The "health declaration" and "medical examination form" found on TAU International's website should be submitted AFTER your application has been accepted. These are not required documents during the application process, and you are discouraged from submitting them before your complete application has been reviewed.
